Plan for the 2017 Convention

Please see the events listing for information on the Convention time and location.

During this years convention we will be be electing SD43 officers and state central delegate.

The officers to be elected are SD43 BPOU Chair, Secretary,  2 House Deputy Chairs, and between 3 to 6 Vice Chairs per house district.

The MNGOP State Central delegates responsibilities are: “The general management of the affairs of the party in the state shall be vested in the State Central Committee, subject to the control of the state convention and this constitution“.  The constitution gives a complete description (throughout the entire document). However the short description is that they review and approve the budget, and elect state officers. They meet twice a year. People wishing to serve on State Central must be sure they can commit to attending potentially any where in the state, and the associated costs for the meeting and travel.

Please join us on Facebook for more informal discussion, alerts to meetings, and group contact.

WhiteBear School Board Update

The White Bear Lake school board meets every second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm in Room 112, at the White Bear Lake District Office, 4855 Bloom Avenue (located in the Central Middle School building). The public is welcome and by attending is a good way of knowing really what happens in our public schools.

It is important that parents and citizens attend these meetings to learn of events occurring in our local education district. Specific information disseminated at school board meetings is not available anywhere else. You must attend to know how the district is functioning, especially since it is supported through your taxes. Citizens should attend City Council meetings for the same reasons.

Those who show up, move the world”

MNCD4Conservative: Misrepresentation of Stand Your Ground

MNCD4Conservative: Misrepresentation of Stand Your Ground.

Stand Your Ground is a legal concept that is being too often deliberately misrepresented. Charles Cooke at National Review  states it even more clearly: “By dint of an unholy marriage between genuine ignorance and political opportunism, the Zimmerman trial has this week led to a peculiar dispute as to the propriety of so-called Stand Your Ground rules.”  Mr Cooke goes on with a very thorough and excellent analysis of stand your ground.  See also the review atHot Air.

MNCD4Conservative: Denying Your Vote

MNCD4Conservative: Denying Your Vote.

Have you gone into the election booth Nov 6, looked at the ballot for Judges feeling that glassy eyed fugue come over you?  That fugue is being used as the basis for making changes in how we elect judges.  To change from allowing you choosing to vote for someone, to only being able to vote against a governor appointment, six years later.

This was the topic of a recent Speechless Show.  Tim Kinley shows testimony from the recent hearings at the legislature.  This is a must see to follow the issue of electing judges.
